New Clients and How We Help Them

StockpileReports.com reached a new milestone recently: We have over 100 international clients, measuring over 200,000,000 tons of material with our patent-pending platform!

We are extremely proud to assist clients with the challenge of gathering, measuring, and maintaining accurate inventory of stockpiled materials. We’ve helped our customers measure stockpiles at over 1200 locations. Although stockpiles come in a vast variety of shapes, sizes, materials, locations and challenges, we’ve found that companies all over the world aren’t hiring us to just solve measurements.

To be frank, clients are hiring us because they don’t want write-offs. They want the quarterly inventory arguments to end.

Businesses want to measure smarter, and manage their inventory confidently.

Stockpile Reports is the only company providing accurate inventory results and performance insights for materials management companies that is scaleable and push-button simple. We enable our clients to end the uncertainly and large write-offs.

As 2015 draws to a close, clients all over the world are measuring thousands of stockpiles and preparing for year-end inventory.  Our clients are getting consistent results using an iPhone, plane, or drone— with a minimum use of their resources. They’re making rock instead of counting it, and feeling confident in their report results.

We greatly enjoy meeting and training clients in person, and helping them solve their stockpile challenges at each site. After we leave, we’re confident that we’ve also assisted them in solving the challenge of inventory management.

Contact us, and find out how we can assist you. We’ll also be exhibiting at the World of Concrete Show in February in Booth N3247, and at AGG1/World of Asphalt in March, Booth 2851. We look forward to meeting you, and demonstrating how our solution provides consistent, bankable results.

What is in Your Future?

We love the summer months. Customers are busy and we are, too. Client measurement totals for a recent week illustrates this clearly: over 500 stockpile measurements were made using the iPhone, aerial and drone, at over 100 different sites!

Did you know that the Stockpile Reports system supports multiple measurement methods? Although we are proud of our patent-pending iPhone® App and how easy it is to use, no two sites, nor two stockpiles are alike. Different piles each have varying measurement and access challenges. Your business receives accurate volume and tonnage reports for sites using the method that works best for that location and pile placement.

That’s why we also offer aerial measurements by plane or drone for subscribers. Consider using regular aerial measurements once a month for an entire site, and the iPhone for spot-checking individual stockpiles.

Tracking your stockpile inventory from month to month isn’t impossible. Let us take the guesswork out of the process, and make the future a little more predictable.

Our system is the only way to measure 100% of your site’s stockpiles, with online results available for view in 24-hours via our web portal. This enables your business get the best of ground and air for stockpile measurements.

Did you know that beyond the point of measurement, the Stockpile Reports platform also supports online reconciliation? This provides the data to the CFO quickly and consistently. Here is a shortcut to more information about our custom reports.

Measuring Bunker Materials with an iPhone

Customers have collected over 15,000 stockpile measurements using an iPhone!Image of bunker measurement

That’s a lot of stockpile reports, especially considering that our company is new to the stockpile measurement industry. Our patent-pending application and platform is now being utilized by top aggregate producers, construction and mining companies around the globe.

Stockpile Reports continues to grow and develop new business applications based on our computing platform.

We provide stockpile measurements via imagery collected by aerial and drone photography. This is a great option for monthly, or quarterly site-wide inventory measurements.

Now, after months of development testing, we’re offering measurements of material that is stored in bunkers for customers. This capability was rolled out as part of our newly updated Stockpiles App.

Bunkers can be located either indoors, or outside. Material to be measured may be bounded by 1, 2, or 3 walls, in bay areas of varying widths.

Measurement report results are ready within 24-hours of data upload, and can be viewed directly from our iPhone App or online.

10,000 iPhone Measurements by Customers

Our team values data very highly. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and also take great pride in the data and processes that generate our customers’ stockpile reports.

Although many of our customers know who their Support team members are, Stockpile Reports also has a Quality Assurance team working quietly behind the scenes. They are monitoring the system constantly. They review the quality of the source data and various sources used for measurements, review the upload speeds, audit the processing times, and are in constant communication with the Support team. Our QA team does this to ensure that every stockpile report is accurate, and ready for download in under 24-hours.

Customers can have confidence not only in the results of their measurements— but also at the point of measurement. Once a client begins taking measurements, every member of Stockpile Reports is prepared to deliver results that we stand behind.

We are delighted to announce that our customers passed a new measurement milestone! They have measured over 10,000 stockpiles with an iPhone.

Here are a few photos showing our customers and team around the world, training and taking iPhone measurements of stockpiles.

New Milestone: Over 100 Million Tons Measured

We’ve got a new milestone to announce! Customers have measured more than 100 MILLION TONS of stockpile materials using the iPhone, walking wheel, GPS and aerials with our service. We were curious as to how much material that is equivalent to, so Stockpile Reports created this infographic for comparison. Congratulations to our customers!

A Big 2014 Milestone

Our customers have surpassed a new milestone!  So far, our clients have measured over 70 million tons with more than 10,000 accurate measurements. We expect those numbers to climb higher due to year-end stockpile inventory measurements.

We hope your 2014 has been a productive year, and we look forward to working with you in 2015. We wish everyone a happy and safe New Year’s celebration!

Cheers,
The Stockpile Report Team

Stockpile Reports is extremely proud to announce that our customers have measured over 67 million tons of material— a new milestone! Since we are in the holiday season, we thought we’d take a more light-hearted approach to this number and see what else measures up to 67 million in the industry and in the world. Take a look at our infographic. We think you’ll agree that 67 million is an impressive number.

A 5 Million Month Milestone

Our customers are having a busy summer. In fact, they’ve been measuring so many stockpiles using our system that they have set a new record for total measured tonnage in one month. July’s stockpile tonnage totaled more than 5 million tons of material!

Since summer is also America’s prime vacation period, let’s compare July’s tonnage to popular tourist destinations for fun.

  • The total material in the Denver National Airport located in Denver, Colorado required 5 million tons of crushed stone, sand and gravel.
  • Did you know that the foundation and structure of the Space Needle in Seattle Washington weighs 9550 tons? It would take over 520 Space Needles to add up to 5 million tons of material.
  • The total weight of all the structural steel in the Golden Gate bridge, anchorages, and approaches (in 1986) is 887,000 tons. Add 5.6 Golden Gate bridges together to measure up to July’s tonnage total.
  • The Washington Monument’s total weight is 90,854 tons. You’d need 55 to add up to 5 million tons.
  • The USS Missouri weighs in at 45,000 tons. You’d need 111 to equal our customer’s measurements for July.

Here is a map of our customers stockpile measurement areas in July. Congratulations to each of them for making this a new milestone!

30 Million Ton Milestone

We’re pleased to announce that our customers have measured over 30 million tons of material, from 9 countries!

Magnesite2

To put this into perspective, the estimated TOTAL annual output of construction sand and gravel produced for consumption in 2013 was 848 million tons. 30 million tons represents over 3.5 percent of 2013’s annual output of construction sand and gravel.

Our customers’ stockpile tonnage was measured by more than our patented Stockpiles Apple® iPhone® App. The Stockpile Reports system also works with GPS, Walking Wheel, Laser, Aerial and even by UAV (in Australia, Mexico and Canada.)

Stockpiles are not uniform in size, shape, by material, nor uniformly easy to access. We support various measurement methods, enabling our customers to reduce risk, save time and money.

Here’s a small sampling of the materials our customers have measured:

  •  Asphalt chip rock
  • Asphalt Sand
  • Basemix
  • Barite
  • Boulders
  • Building Sand
